|Good atmosphere in this British thriller based on a play by Lucille Fletcher (Sorry, Wrong Number).
Liz plays Ellen Wheeler, a woman who loses her philandering husband in a car crash while driving with his mistress.
She remarries and begins to see bodies in the abandoned house next door from her living room window.
The whole thing builds up to a shocking twist ending.
La Liz is game here, and in a delightful turn she makes us go along for the ride with her.
And we enjoyed seeing Billie Whitelaw (the creepy nanny from The Omen) here as well.
There's effective art direction by Peter Murton (with lots of rain and thunder) and a nice score by John Cameron.
Rare, but worth seeking out. Great Sunday afternoon watch.
