The Lorelei's Grasp (1973)
85 min.
Directed by Amando de Ossorio.
With Tony Kendall, Helga Liné, Silvia Tortosa, Loretta Tovar, Angel Menendez, Luis Induni, Josefina Jartin.
Good, briny fun from the director of the four Blind Dead horrors.

A savage creature terrorizes young women in a small town near the Rhine, clawing each one to death and then ripping out the victim's heart.

Some say the ancient myth of the lovely Lorelei (Liné) is to blame...a beautiful seductress who turns into a hideous sea monster to claim the heart flesh she needs to survive.

Handsome hunter Kendall joins forces with ultrapretty Tortosa to find the beast before it's too late.

This is a fairly gory spanish dish, with some nice heart rippings, an attractive cast and a cool creature feature mood (especially the bittersweet transformation scene at climax). Also known as When the Screaming Stops.

Spanish: Las Garras de Lorelei.
