This sleepy ALIEN imitation ain't without its own brand of bloody fun.

A group of space travelers aboard the space cruiser Quest set out on a rescue mission to the mysterious planet Morganthus; there, they discover a strange pyramid structure which they proceed to investigate.

But once inside, the posse finds merciless death one by one at the hands of various alien terrors.

Also known as Planet of Horrors, this Roger Corman-produced low budget sci fi horror is kinda fun, due in part to its rather cold vibe, some gory underlit action and convoluted but harmless plot.

Where else can you catch the following litany of unspeakables: a woman raped by a giant maggot, a man killed by his own arm, and a gratuitous head explosion from Happy Days Moran?

Coincidentally, unit director James Cameron would go on to direct another extraterrestrial horror: 1986's Aliens.
