"A new dimension in terror..."

The third entry in the Friday the 13th series, this was first shown in theatres in 3D.

Jason has survived the hacking he received in Part 2 and, after picking up a change of clothing, he's ready to wreak some more carnage.

It's good timing, too, for likable Chris Higgins (Kimmell) has invited a bunch of her teenage friends over to her family house which is near the old Camp Crystal Lake.

Donning his now-trademark hockey mask, Jason goes after Chris' friends with a vengeance.

But will he be so lucky with Chris herself? She's nursing some serious psychological wounds - she doesn't mind telling us about them - and she may prove more than a match for the big lug.

There's still some enjoyable fun to be had here, with a good lead performance from Dana Kimmell, and a fun showdown between Jason and some obnoxious bikers.

Look for Tracie Savage, who made a name for herself as a local reporter in Los Angeles covering the O.J. Simpson case!
