The Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion (1970)
96 min.
Directed by Luciano Ercoli.
With Dagmar Lassandar, Susan Scott, Pier Paolo Capponi, Simón Andreu, Osvaldo Genazzani.
This low key giallo from director Luciano Ercoli is not as strong as either his Death Walks at Midnight (1972) or Death Walks on High Heels (1971), but is nevertheless a solid and well acted thriller.

Beautiful housewife Minou (Lassandar) is assaulted on the beach by a mysterious stranger (Andreu) who informs her that her husband is a murderer.

Disbelieving, she attempts to ignore the ominous message, but soon finds herself drawn into a tangled web of sexual blackmail, deceptive intrigue...and pervasive doubts about whether she's married to a cold blooded killer.

Whatever truths Minou will uncover, it won't be pretty.

Lovingly photographed and featuring a good supporting cast (Andreu delivers a wonderful, menacing performance), this doesn't necessarily break any new ground for the genre, but is a class act all around.
