Dracula vs. Frankenstein (1971)
77 min.
Directed by Hugo Fregonese.
With Michael Rennie, Karin Dor, Craig Hill, Paul Naschy, Patty Sheppard, Peter Damon, Ella Gessler, Manuel de Blas.
Screen vet Michael Rennie (The Day the Earth Stood Still, et al) leads the cast in this bargain basement boredom.

Alien scientist Dr. Warnoff (Rennie) from the planet Ummo visits Earth and decides to resurrect the four classic (Universal) monsters: Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein (here, inexplicably called the 'Franksollen' Monster) and the Werewolf. But no matter.

His sinister plan? Once revived, the monsters will be cloned, will destroy all humans and the Ummo aliens will take over the planet - leaving him as sole ruler.

The decent B movie plot (scripted by Naschy) is sabotaged by low level energy throughout and lackluster performances.

Naschy injects a tiny bit of sass with his turn as Waldemar Daninsky, but overall the cast is spiritless and unmotivated.

Sadly, this would be one of Rennie's last roles.

Known alternately either as Assignment Terror or as Monsters of Terror.
