It's Christopher Lee versus Charles Gray!

In this enjoyable Hammer flick, erstwhile Bond villain and Rocky Horror Picture Show narrator Charles Gray is Mocata, leader of a satanic cult intent on adding two new initiates to their ranks.

But Duc de Richleau (Lee) and his friend Rex (Greene) are resolved to thwart Mocata's plans and save the two poor souls from joining the dark devil-worshipping coven.

In a showdown of power, the maniacal Mocata forces Richleau and his colleagues to withstand a night of terrible black magic assaults. If they lose, Mocata will get his two new initiates...but if they win, what will happen to the evil leader?

Based on the 1934 novel by Dennis Wheatley, this has some interesting cinematography, fun special effects, and a fast paced plot. Gray is always fun to watch, and it's equally refreshing to see Lee battling supernatural evil rather than creating it.

Also known as The Devil's Bride.
