An all-star cast livens this TV thriller based on the true story of a NYC woman who was brutally raped and murdered while numerous neighbors heard and did nothing.

The plot takes some liberties with facts but the story still never fails to shock decades after the event occurred. The actors are in fine form, particularly Raul Julia, who's terrific as a single dad cop assigned to the case.

Suspenseful yet thought provoking, this one serves as a reminder of the public apathy which was brought to the forefront in 1964 with the needless killing of Kitty Genovese and which unfortunately exists to this day.

Filmed as Homicide and re-titled The Woman Who Cried Murder in its repeat showing, Death Scream was also released on VHS as Streetkill.
