Charles Ritter, or "Bubba" as he's known, is a 36 year-old mentally challenged man who loves children. But when one of his child playmates experiences a horrible accident - and dies - the local townspeople blame Bubba.

Led by the mean-spirited Durning, a self-appointed vigilante team decides to take matters into their own hands, and dispense their own personal brand of brutal justice to Bubba...with disastrous consequences.

A stellar effort from beginning to end, with great performances and a harrowing sense of dread.

Very cool climax.
