Superb Amicus anthology of Robert Block-penned tales.

When job candidate Dr. Martin (Powell) arrives at Dunsmoor Asylum to interview for the position as head of the institution, he's met with an interesting challenge. The previous head has gone crazy; can Martin guess from among four mentally ill patients who is the former asylum manager?

To decide, Martin listens to the four patients' stories...among them a tale of adulterous dismemberment and macabre body reanimation...a poor tailor whose chance for salvation turns to supernatural horror...a young woman whose 'best friend' gets her into deadly trouble...and a dollmaker who can wish life into his creations.

Quartet of yarns are all well-done, especially Frozen Fear and The Weird Tailor. Perkins and Cushing deliver fine performances in their respective segments, Powell sympathetic as the unwitting interviewee.

Also known as House of Crazies.
