| It's true that the Amityville series probably shouldn't have gone beyond the first sequel, but in all truth this third entry is kinda fun.
Skeptical investigative reporter John Baxter (Roberts) moves into the Amityville house on Long Island in an attempt to reveal its infamous supernatural phenomena as a hoax. But he's soon proven wrong when supernatural events occur.
He calls in a team of paranormal experts (led by Joy), but will they be able to stop the hellish onslaught of the Amityville house?
Familiar, campy and enthusiastic, with constant in-your-face 3-D effects that don't transfer well off the big screen. Still, Amityville 3 is a bit of fun, and best if not taken too seriously. The rather highbrow cast helps, especially Tess Harper as Robert's disapproving ex-wife, and Clark as a terrified colleague.
